The Application Process
Applying is straightforward. Here's exactly how to take your idea from concept to the TEDx Lufkin stage.

Submit Your Application
Complete the online form with your idea summary, background, and a short bio. Applications open March 8.

Initial Review
Our curation team reviews every application for originality, relevance, and impact potential.

Semifinalist Selection
Selected candidates are notified by May 8 and invited to a brief interview, video pitch and final round of competition ahead of finalist selections.

Finalists Announced
Final speakers are confirmed June 8 and begin the guided 2 month preparation journey with our team.
Preparing Your Talk
Being selected is just the beginning. TEDx Lufkin provides every speaker with dedicated support to craft a memorable, world-class talk.
Speaker Coaching
Work one-on-one with an experienced coach to refine your message, structure your narrative, and own the stage.
Rehearsal Sessions
Attend organized rehearsals leading up to the event so you feel confident, prepared, and at your best on the day.
Talk Guidelines
Receive the official TED talk framework including format, timing, and content standards to shape your idea effectively.
Community Support

Do I need prior speaking experience?
No. We select speakers based on the strength of their idea and their passion, not their résumé. First-time speakers are welcome and encouraged to apply.
How long is a TEDx Lufkin talk?
Talks are targeted for 8 minutes, however our coaches will help you find the ideal length for your specific idea and story.
Is there a fee to apply or speak?
There is no cost to apply or to speak. TEDx Lufkin is a community-driven event, where we are honored to host passionate speakers from around the world to bring BIG IDEAS to the TEDx Lukfin stage!
Can I apply with a co-presenter?
TEDx talks are typically solo presentations. However, reach out to us directly if you have a unique collaborative concept and we'll discuss options.
